Can Light Therapy Improve Mood?
Thirty minutes of bright-light exposure has been shown to improve signs and symptoms of depression. If you tend to feel your mood slip in the winter months, we recommend starting a treatment plan asap. In addition to herbs, supplements and/or medication, we often recommend bright light therapy due to the benefit for mood! You can use the bright light therapy as part of your morning routine to help your circadian rhythm adjust with the change in natural light exposure throughout the day. We recommend 20 - 30 minutes with your bright light, first thing in the morning while journaling, drinking your morning beverage of choice, or while making breakfast/packing lunches/doing all the morning things!
